Chief Linke has almost 30 years of experience as a first responder. He began as a volunteer EMT with his hometown rescue squad right after high school. Tim joined the Southwest Rural Fire Protection District outside of Lincoln, Nebraska in 1996 and served for many years as an Assistant Chief. He also worked for the City of Lincoln Fire Department for 24 years, rising through the ranks from Firefighter to Battalion Chief prior to his appointment as Fire Chief in Yankton. He has been married to his wife Tami for 24 years and has two children, Jackson and Maya.
