Blessing of the Bicycles and Bike Month Proclamation Ride

National Bike Month is a chance to showcase the many benefits of bicycling – and encourage more folks to giving biking a try. Join the community for the Bike Month kick-off event on Sunday, May 1. There will be a Blessing of the Bicycles held at Riverside Park in front of the Dakota Territorial Capitol Building at 4pm led by Jerry Webber. This is a non-denominational blessing, all are welcome. Following the blessings, there will be a Bike Month Proclamation announced by Tony Maibaum, City Commissioner Elect, and a Proclamation Ride through Riverside, over the bridge and back finishing in the Meridian Plaza. If you wish to only participate in the Bike Month Proclamation and Proclamation Ride arrive at Riverside at 4:30pm.

If weather becomes an issue, the rain date will be on Monday, May 2 at 6:30pm. All event details and structure will remain the same.
