Our website is designed to educate you about the department structure and the services and programs we offer. Officers working at the Police Department take pride in the services they provide to the public. 
 
Community relationships are very important and all officers work hard to develop and grow positive relationships with the citizens in Yankton. Officers know that the community they work for supports them every day. The safety and security of Yankton cannot be met without community members working with the police to accomplish this common goal. 
 
 As the Chief, working in a community that cares for and supports all who live and visit this city is an honor and privilege. Our citizens should be very proud of the brave men and women working at the City of Yankton Police Department, I know I am.
