Thursday nights just got a little “cooler.” Grab your friends, a lawn chair and head to the Music at the Meridian concert series. “Chill out” with a different live band every Thursday night, food and beverages for purchase, and a nice view over the scenic Missouri River.
This free outdoor concert series runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday nights and is located in the parking lot and green space west of the Meridian Bridge. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets for seating.
New in 2017, take part in the first Meridian Mural art project. This interactive community mural allows anyone to participate by painting a tile during the concert. Watch the mural come to life each week as more tiles are completed and mounted in the grid on the west side of the upper deck ramp (256 tiles will complete the mural). Only a limited number of tiles are available each week and will be painted on a first-come-first-serve basis.
This seven-concert series starts with Hector Anchondo on July 6. The dates for Music at the Meridian are as follows: July 6, July 13, July 20, July 27, August 3, August 10 and August 17. For more information, visit our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/musicatthemeridian.
