The Yankton Community Library, 515 Walnut Street, will join over a thousand libraries around the world on November 19, 2016, for the ninth annual celebration of gaming in libraries – International Games Day @ Your Library. Like so many other libraries across the country and around the world, we will offer special gaming programs and events suitable for the whole family.
Join us from 1-4 p.m. for traditional family games such as Sorry!, Taboo, UNO, and Chutes and Ladders; or play new games we’ve purchased such as Forbidden Island, One Night Ultimate Werewolf, and Mascarade. You are invited to bring your own games or play ours. The Wii will also be available.
From 2-4 p.m., teens will have their own game competition.
International Games Day @ your library is an international initiative supported by the American Library Association, the Australian Library and Information Association, and Nordic Game Day.
