On June 27, at 6:30 p.m., Elise Parsley will be giving a special all-ages presentation as part of the Yankton Community Library’s 2016 Summer Reading Program.
Elise will read from her latest picture book titled If You Ever Want to Bring a Piano to the Beach, DON’T! She will also give a fun and interactive drawing demonstration, allow for questions from both children and adults, and share some music of her own (Hey, no one said you can’t bring your piano to the library, right?) Activity pages and a limited number of free posters will be given out as well.
Following the presentation, USD’s Barnes & Noble Book Store will have Elise’s books for sale, including her NYT Bestselling debut titled If You Ever Want to Bring an Alligator to School, DON’T! Elise will be available to sign and personalize her books.
Elise will be traveling to libraries around South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa this summer in her quest to promote literacy and music, and to save as many pianos as possible from meeting a watery end. She welcomes you to visit her website, www.eliseparsley.com, to learn more.
